DO SLOUCH

I've loved the cozy, casual look of the slouchy beret for quite a few seasons now. I was on the hunt for one a while ago, and I ended up just whipping one up in an afternoon, using an extra gray skein I had lying in my old bag of yarn.

And this is what I made:

I used this pattern, which I found a while back on a now-defunct blog. I stalked the pattern's creator and found her new blog, which I will definitely be bookmarking for future crafting inspiration. Oh internet, you make stalking so easy.

HEY, I CAN MAKE THAT!

That's what I say to my friends when we're at the store looking at some crazily overpriced piece of furniture or jewelry or artwork that, in my mind, seems pretty simple to make at home with a staple gun and some spray paint.

So I'm starting this blog to chronicle those experiences where inspiration and frugality (a cute word for cheapness) meet, get married, and produce creativity babies.

I'm just excited to have an outlet where I can share what I think is cool and log what projects I'm working on.

The world can always use another craft blog, right?
